New Gear!

Hartford AES has recently purchased items to be used in the Dana Recording Studios. The first addition is a  42” Samsung plasma television/monitor which is currently mounted in the digital recording studio. The monitor was purchased with the help of an educational discount from friends at Access Automation located in Warwick, RI. The monitor is connected to the Powermac G5 as well as the Sony Digital Console. This new addition to the digital audio studio will allow for an entire class to see Pro Tools demonstrations, digital routing lessons, and other educational purposes. We are also proud to announce the addition of four brand new Shure SM57 dynamic microphones. The SM57 has been a staple in the studio and live sound industry for years, and is also found in many professional studios. They have been added to the mic cabinet, and are open for use by any audio student and/or AES member within the studios.
